Maundy Thursday at Tab

Thursday, April 2 | 7 PM | McKee Chapel

Tab’s  Maundy Thursday worship service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 7:00pm.
This service provides a rich opportunity for members of the congregation and guests to gather in prayer, song, and the sharing of the Lord’s Supper. Through readings, hymns, and thoughtful reflection, participants will be invited to contemplate the depth of Christ’s sacrifice and the powerful call to follow his example of humility and love.

All who attend can expect a meaningful time of worship that bridges the journey from Holy Thursday into the solemn remembrance of Good Friday and, ultimately, the joy of Easter. Whether you are a long-time member or visiting for the first time, the Maundy Thursday service at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church offers a moment to slow down, reflect on Jesus’ example, and renew your commitment to live out his commandment of love.

Maundy Thursday—observed during Holy Week on the Thursday before Easter—is a deeply meaningful day in the Christian liturgical calendar. It commemorates the events of the evening before Jesus’ crucifixion, particularly the Last Supper, when Jesus shared a final meal with his disciples. The word “Maundy” comes from the Latin mandatum, meaning “commandment,” recalling Jesus’ instruction to his disciples to love one another as he had loved them (John 13:34). Services on this night often focus on themes of humility, service, and the institution of the Lord’s Supper.
