Children’s Ministries of Tabernacle Presbyterian Church provide an opportunity for children to know God’s Word, to experience God’s love and joy of fellowship, and to be introduced to Jesus Christ so that they are equipped to share the Good News with others.
Children at Tab “B.L.A.S.T.” (Sunday School) from 9:00 until 10:00.
Tab Children’s Ministries uses a teaching method called Workshop Rotation to teach children in grades K through 6 about the various people, events and main concepts of the Bible. Each week, the students are divided by grade into groups which rotate through a set of workshops designed to engage and instruct students by letting them explore their God-given abilities and interests within the Bible-based lesson framework. Workshops include gardening, science, puppetry, cooking, drama, art, geography, architecture, storytelling, games, and dance.
Junior Church during the 10:00 worship services
Junior Church is designed to be a time of fellowship and learning for our younger elementary students. Students in grades K-4 are dismissed from worship following the Children’s Sermon and come to Lower Level B for singing, Bible memory verses, snack, crafts, games, and learning about the various elements of worship.
Early Childhood
Tab Children’s Ministries strives to provide a safe, wholesome atmosphere and developmentally appropriate Bible songs and lessons for Tab’s children to enjoy while their parents are involved in adult fellowship, worship, and education. We employ screened, well-trained nursery attendants as well as a large pool of loving, experienced volunteers in our Infant nursery, Toddler/2’s class, and Preschool class each week during worship services and the education hour.
Preteen Ministry
Tab’s Pre-Teen Ministry for 5th and 6th graders focuses on going deeper in faith, fellowship and service. We meet monthly for fellowship events, retreats, lock-ins, and an annual summer trip.
Family Activities
Children’s Ministries works to equip parents for the important job of raising the next generation of Christians by providing resources, classes, and a variety of family events throughout the year, including game nights, movie nights, a multi-generational Advent Workshop, an Easter egg hunt, a summer musical and a fall Trunk-or-Treat.
