At Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, we believe that building a stronger community starts with showing up for one another—in spirit and in service. Fresh Stop is one of the ways we live out that mission by helping neighbors access healthy food, regardless of income. It’s more than a produce pickup—it’s a place of connection, dignity, and shared abundance.

What Is Fresh Stop?

Fresh Stop is a community-supported produce program that makes fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables accessible and affordable for everyone. Operated by Tab in partnership with community leaders and organizations, Fresh Stop is held just across the street at Raphael Health Center (401 E. 34th Street).

Unlike a typical food pantry or farmer’s market, Fresh Stop is designed to serve all income levels with equity and dignity. Everyone receives the same box of beautiful, seasonal produce—the only difference is the cost, which is based on your income.

Share Costs

Fresh Stop uses a tiered pricing model to ensure healthy food is affordable for all:

  • Higher Income: $30

  • Lower Income: $15

  • SNAP/EBT Participants: $10

When you pay according to your means, you’re helping ensure your neighbors can do the same. It’s community working together to care for one another.

How It Works

  • Order Deadline: Place your order by the Sunday before pickup

  • Pickup Day: Every other Saturday during the growing season

  • Time: 10:00 – 11:00 AM

  • Location: Raphael Health Center (401 E. 34th Street)

Each order includes a mix of fresh produce—plus recipes and occasional cooking demonstrations to help you make the most of your ingredients.

How to Order

  • Order Online: Visit FreshStop.org to place your order using a credit card or PayPal. You can view the income breakdown online to determine whether you qualify to pay $15 or $30 for your share.
  • In-Person Orders: Stop by Tab’s Front Office to place your order with cash or a check.
  • SNAP Card Orders: To pay only $10 with a SNAP card, Call us at 317-296-4150 with your SNAP card numbers, and we’ll guide you through the process.

Want to help set up, distribute produce, or greet neighbors with a smile? Volunteers are the heartbeat of Fresh Stop. Whether you can lend a hand once or serve regularly, we’d love to have you.

Donate

If you’d like to help support the mission financially, your gift helps subsidize produce shares for those using SNAP and other lower-income families.

Why It Matters

Food insecurity is real—and so is the power of community. Fresh Stop brings people together across income levels, backgrounds, and life experiences to nourish bodies and build relationships. It’s one of the ways Tab remains rooted in the Mapleton-Fall Creek neighborhood we’ve called home for over a century.
