Celebrate 100 Years of Fun at the Tab Recreation Festival!

Mark your calendars for an unforgettable day of festivities at the Tab Recreation 100th Anniversary Celebration Festival! On Saturday, September 14th, join us from 10 AM to 6 PM on the Tab campus for a spectacular celebration that honors a century of community fun and recreation.

Where the Action Happens: The celebration will take place across multiple areas on Tab’s campus:

  • Parking Lot: Get ready for a day full of entertainment, food, and activities.
  • Athletic Field: Watch thrilling soccer games and enjoy inflatable amusements.
  • Gym: Explore our photo display and video theater.

Delicious Eats: Savor a variety of festival foods, including gourmet hot dogs from Mr. and Mrs. Hot Dog, delicious ice cream, cold beverages, and a selection of snacks perfect for munching on the go.

Musical Line-Up: Get ready to groove to a diverse range of music throughout the day:

  • 10 AM – 3:20 PM: Kenny Phelps will rock the outdoor stage with a blend of rock, pop, jazz, and blues.
  • 3:40 – 4:40 PM: Jason Katner and The Beatless Band will transport you back in time with classic Beatles hits.
  • 5 – 6 PM: Finish the day on a high note with energetic Latin tunes from Pavel Polanco and his Direct Contact Band.

Family Fun:

  • Indy Air Bears Performance: Enjoy an exciting rope skipping show by this talented kid’s troupe.
  • Inflatable Amusements: Test your skills on the dual-lane obstacle course, bungee run, axe throw, and more on the running straightaway track.

Interactive Activities:

  • 3-on-3 Basketball: Compete or cheer from the sidelines with goals and courts set up for all ages.
  • Air-Brush Tattoos: Let your creativity shine with unique designs.
  • Mascots: Meet our fun mascots, snap selfies, and get autographs.
  • Video-Recording Booth: Share your Tab recreation memories or simply say “thanks” in our video booth.

Soccer and Sports:

  • League Soccer Games: Enjoy a full day of exciting soccer matches on the athletic field. Watch from the bleachers or along the touch lines.

Gym Highlights:

  • Photo Display: Explore a visual journey through Tab recreation’s 100-year history.
  • Video Theater: Watch an engaging documentary about Tab rec’s legacy in our gym’s video theater.
