MLK Celebration

Monday, January 20 | 10 AM – 1 PM | Phillips Temple CME Church (210 E. 34th Street, Indianapolis)

Join Tabernacle Presbyterian and local churches for the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration hosted by the MLK Community on Monday, January 20 from 10a-1p at Phillips Temple C.M.E. (210 E. 34th Street, Indianapolis). This family-friendly event brings together the community to reflect on Dr. King’s timeless message of peace, justice, and unity.

The celebration will feature engaging workshops focusing on non-violence, personal expression, and community building, offering meaningful experiences for all ages. At 11a, attendees will participate in an inspiring worship service, offering a time for reflection, prayer, and unity. Following the service, enjoy a free lunch at noon, where fellowship and connection take center stage.

The MLK Community Celebration brings together diverse congregations, including Tab, Phillips Temple CME Church, New Circle Church, North United Methodist Church, and Trinity Episcopal. It’s a day to honor Dr. King’s enduring influence and remind ourselves that, as he said, “The time is always right to do what is right.”

Bring your family and friends to this uplifting and inclusive event as we reflect, learn, and celebrate the ongoing pursuit of justice and equality. We look forward to coming together in the spirit of love, community, and hope. All are welcome!
