Elders

The ministers of Tabernacle Presbyterian Church are its members. The church is governed by The Session, which provides spiritual and organizational leadership, while the Deacons—following the biblical call to service—act as the hands of Christ, caring for God’s people, our Tab family, and the surrounding community. The Endowment Trustees faithfully manage Tab’s Endowment Fund to support and sustain our ongoing mission.

It’s Our Time!
As members of Tab it is time to step up and go!

As Tab prepares to welcome a new pastor, Session has appointed five dedicated members to serve on our Transition Team. This team will guide our congregation through the pastoral transition and serve as a central point of communication between Session, staff, and members of Tab. The Transition Team will remain active throughout the installation and onboarding of our new pastor.

Please note, the Transition Team is not a nominating committee and will not be responsible for selecting the new pastor. Their focus is to support and guide our congregation during this important process.

Church Nominating Committee

The Church Nominating Committee (CNC) plays an important role in helping Tab raise up leaders for service. Guided by prayer and the leading of the Holy Spirit, the CNC identifies and recommends members of the congregation to serve as elders, deacons, and on other boards and committees.

Their work includes discerning gifts for leadership, ensuring balanced representation within the church, and presenting a slate of nominees for the congregation’s approval. In this way, the CNC helps ensure that Tab’s ministries are supported by faithful and gifted leaders who reflect the mission and vision of our church.
